Pelikan 140 with 14kt Medium nib, Working

The piston works and sucks up a lot of water. Correct vintage nib in medium. The tines might need a slight adjustment, but no damage to them or the tipping material. The clip shows some wear to the plating. The Pelikan imprint is worn, but still visible. Ebonite feed is in good condition with no damage. Pelikan logo on top of the cap is clearly visible. The barrel has great transparency and the piston functions as expected,but I am uncertain if the piston is new or not. Some of my photos were taken under a loupe, so fuzz may appear distorted in a few of the pictures, like the close up of the nib. There is no spot on the section as that image shows.

I am sure many more of you are much more knowledgeable about Pelikans than I am and perhaps can weigh in. I have read that people often use these vintage Pelikan nibs to put in other Pelikans, even modern ones. The reason for this, from what I have gathered, is that the flexibility and durability of the older nibs are more desirable. Just food for thought, in case someone didn't like the body of the pen, they could always use the nib elsewhere.

In case anybody wanted a closer look. Everything appears to be in order and the feed is in good shape.
