I don't care that it's not bulletproof, this is my absolute favorite black.

One of my favorite black inks! I love the undertones and its historical origin story.

The story is great. And I love the fact that there is just a tiny bit of shading to it, with the right paper and right nib anyway...

Had to buy a bottle of this since I live in the area. I don't know if the story is true. I've talk to several folks who lived here after the war and no mention of a special ink, but sounds cool. It is the best Noodler's black. No nib creep, nice true black, some water proof behavior and great flow.

Perhaps everyone has heard the story behind it, but I hadn't. So here it is! http://noodlersink.com/whats-new/dark-matter/

Doughnuts and a very nice black ink. What could possibly be better?

I've been using this ink for the past year and it has become my favorite black.
That said, I just realized that for the first time in a year I haven't a single pen inked with it.
That will have to be rectified.

Not much!

I just gave a paper in a session with the author of that book, and his new work is looking at the materiality of WWII in Finland. Interesting stuff. The doughnut book is a fun read though.

Yes it should! I actually had the same situation recently with both Dark Matter and Walnut. I immediately cleaned out two pens, and refilled.

Too many ink samples and not enough time. :p
