The best behaved of the V-Mail inks that I've tried. A greenish-brown that definitely stands out. I've heard it resembles Montblanc Racing Green, though I've never had the pleasure of playing around with that one.

This is one of my favorite inks. Looks great using a broad nib.

This is a great one but close to Diamine Racing Green or Evergreen and I probably won't be trying it just yet.

That does remind me of MB Racing Green, which is an ink I like very much. I'm glad to see some alternatives to RG. :)

I love the color of this ink but have found that it clogs most of the pens I've tried it with, except for my Platinum 3776 Century (which is another reason that pen is now among my favorites). I'm going to try diluting it a bit with distilled water to see if that improves flow in other pens. Despite this issue, I'd still buy and use this ink as I'm in this ink phase where I like most anything in the vicinity of olive green and brown. And now I want to get PR Chocolat because the contrast w/ BRB looks good to me. Thanks for the review, yet again :)

No worries! Although I don't do it for reviews, I typically add a few drops of distilled water to all of my inks, mainly to help counteract the cheap paper that my students turn their work in on. That said, I've never had clogging issues with BRB. The only V-Mail that I've had problems with is Overload Orange. That one feathered and bled like crazy, on a whole range of papers. Which is too bad, as I really loved the color.

Have you tried flushing the pens with a tendancy to clog with a 1/10 ammonia 9/10 water mix, or a pre-mixed pen flush? That might help out.

PR Chocolat is definitely a nice brown that leans a bit red.

My pens are generally clean although I must admit that now and then I'm too lazy to do obsessive pen cleaning and just flush with water and let everything sit. I might have gotten an odd batch of BRB because so far it's clogging everyone and her sister. I would still fight for this ink, though. Besides which, a little distilled water never hurt anyone.
