c. 1927 Conklin “Halloween” Fountain Pen (orange, black, blue, and ivory celluloid, lever filler, GPT, 14k EF Flexible nib). One of the scarcest and highly sought after pens for the Conklin collector, the so-called “Halloween” pen is distinguished by its unusual, vibrant celluloid pattern. Often unremarked are the subtle, blue accents, which come through on this pen in particular, evoking less a jack-o’-lantern than it does the kaleidoscopic core of a glass marble. This pen measures roughly 5” capped. It is equipped with a proper 14k Toledo nib (with crescent breather) that lays down a smooth and consistent EF line and flexes to a BB+ under moderate pressure.

Condition: Excellent to near-mint. Restored in the past month with genuine silicone sac from David Nishimura to preserve the color, which is evenly vibrant between the barrel and cap (no discernible discoloration). No chips, cracks, personal engravings, bent or misaligned tines, missing or mismatched parts, or threading issues. No brassing whatsoever to the trim. Very deep, fully legible imprint. A collector-grade example and worthy centerpiece of a serious Conklin collection.

Price: $550 (includes USPS Priority shipping – tracked and insured – to CONUS locations. Please contact me for shipping quote if located overseas (delivery confirmation required). SOLD
