I suppose. Still going to be hard to explain to the vet when he goes back for his post-op check on Monday.

You can always tell the vet that you had some Smurfs running around the house and he caught them.

I can't tell from the picture that that's ink on the tongue rather than just a shadow, but I believe you. There are many different feline languages, but none of them have a word for "no".

If I recall, it was Richard Binder who said that Baystate Blue would melt some kinds of fountain pen feeds. I trust that kitty's tongue is hardier than that. And that he didn't swallow any.
