Hi all,

I had to split my sales list in two parts, for the FPGeeks, board to get all the photos to show.

Another fresh batch of pens from my workbench. Three of the pens have so called special nibs, so you might want to look for those.

If you see one or more pens that you like, please E-mail me at:

michael@northwestpenworks.com

If you intend to make a purchase, please read "Rules, shipping,
etcetera" at the bottom of this post.

4. c. 1925 Sheaffer's 3-25 in coral. This is the shorter version, capped it measures 4 1/2 inches or 11.6 cm. There is a spot of brassing on either side of the clip and the barrel threads are very stained. I scrubbed them, but I think I will try something else to clean them. The nib is a very smooth writing Extra Fine rigid 14K. The barrel is imprinted deeply. Overall it is a decent example with a very nice polish job. I think the coral colored radite was Sheaffer's first offering in colored plastic, and likely intended to compete with the orange colored Parker Duofold line.

Price $125.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

5. c. 1939 Waterman's in silver pearl with violet pinstripes. I think this is a model 513. A few years ago, a friend showed one just like it to me and his still had the price sticker with the model number on it. The section has some typical ambering. I have only seen one or two of these that did not have ambering on the section. There is no brassing on the gold filled trim. The depth of the barrel imprint varies, but it is all legible. The end of the barrel is stepped, like an Ink-Vue model. This pen is from my personal collection. It is the same color and similar to another Waterman's I have, that I will keep. This silver pearl with violet pen stripes is one of my very favorite Waterman's plastics. This particular pen was made in Canada. The nib in this pen is wonderful! It is about a fat fine or narrow Medium. It is a very smooth, wet writer and will flex to about a Broad. Capped the pen measures 5 inches or 12.8 cm. Those Canucks made some darn nice pens with exceptional nibs. I am personally glad that not all the American vintage pen collectors have figured that fact out, yet! The overall condition of the pen is Excellent.

6. c.1958 Waterman's X-Pen Junior with black barrel and silver colored cap. I have been looking for, and curious about, this model of Waterman's pen for as long as I first became aware of them, way back in the late 1980's. They were apparently made to try and compete with the Parker 61. The X-Pens fill a bit differently from the 61's. With the X-Pen you put the nib shell in ink and it fills itself through capillary action, pulling the ink inside the barrel. The Parker 61's you have to unscrew the barrel and place the Teflon coated tube in the ink to fill. The X-Pens were made in France. These seem to be pretty scarce pens. I ask a long time pen collector friend about them and he had never heard of them, which surprised me. This one is in mint un-inked condition with the chalk marks on the barrel, which read Plume Fine. The pen has some micro scratches on the plastic, shop wear. I think the nib is alloy with hard metal alloy tipping. Capped the pen measures 5 1/8 inches or 13.0 cm. As they say on eBay, A must have for any serious Waterman's collector! I guess it depends on just how serious you are...

Rules, Shipping, Etc.

The usual rules apply, the person sending the first e-mail on an item
~stating intent to purchase~ gets the item. I will give you 5 days to
decide if you like the pen or not. I prefer payment by PayPal but also
accept checks or money orders in USD. I can only accept payment by
PayPal from countries outside the U.S. I ship worldwide, so
international customers are always welcome.

Prices are post paid in the U.S., and will be shipped with a tracking
number and insurance. I normally ship inside the U.S. by U.S.
Postal Service Priority Mail. I can also ship to other countries by
Priority Mail, but I prefer to ship by Express International Mail. I
have to charge $20.00 to $30.00 USD extra by Express International
Mail, depending on which country the item will be sent to, but it can
be insured and can usually be tracked online.

Return Policy: I will always allow pens, or other items, to be
returned as long as it is not for a frivolous reason and the item is
returned in the same condition as when it was shipped from here. If
there should be a problem I would prefer the chance to fix the problem
or replace the item, when and if possible. Otherwise a full refund
will be offered. If you find a problem and choose to send the item
(pen, mechanical pencil, etc.) to someone else to be corrected, I will
not be responsible for any other problems.

All pens have been restored inside and outside, nibs adjusted and
smoothed, when necessary, clips tightened, etc. I give a lot of
attention to minute details on a pen, that some would not notice. All
pens and pencils will be in good working condition unless noted
otherwise. The pens have been ink tested. I restore the pens I sell,
as if they were going into my personal pen collection.

Happy penning!
