Interesting to see how each ink behaved when subjected to a light water wash, using a fairly dry fine watercolour brush. I'd say the least water resistant is the Diamine Woodland Green; it lost a lot of colour. Most water resistant is Tsutaya Root (made by Sailor). Krishna Ghat Green and Diamine Oxford Blue also held up quite well.

It was fun to do 🙂
I drew each zentangle first, with the inked fountain pens listed, then lightly washed the edges with the watercolour brush. Where the lines were easily washed away (e.g. the Diamine Woodland Green) I re-drew the lines over the top of the washed areas, again with the fountain pen. I didn’t need to re-do the Tsutaya Roots; hardly any ink lifted at all.
