I have a nice early Parker 75 Insignia with a 66 (medium) nib that will not write. Apparently the nib is clogged with ink but no matter how much I flush the pen it still won't work. When I flush it with water or pen flush the liquid will come out the bottom part of the feed but not through the nib.
I would like to take out the nib/feed assembly to give it a good cleaning. How can I safely remove it?

If I am understanding your description correctly, the 75 nibs should just pull out with a light twisting action back and forth. My 75 ciesel is just friction fit.

In the end the butler was innocent, the maid did it.

I tried Linkinyeah's suggestion and the nib/feed assembly came out easily. I guess all the flushing and soaking helped. After using the ultrasonic on the nib the pen is now working correctly.
I like happy endings. :thumb:
