Is there a way to change the date display format?

Is there a way to change preferences for the date threads display when reading threads? It's currently Month/Day/Year, instead of Day/Month/Year.

Unfortunattely, I am not a licenced user of vBulletin, so I couldn't get to see the code fixes on the second page where they reckon it works on version 4.2.
I see linuxforums.org get around it by putting a time in hours, or days or weeks instead of an actual 'date posted'.
It doesn't bug me, once you are used to the date format. It's just that with the original question, I thought there should be something out there that does it and that was the first bit I found for vBulletin.
If you need help with the code, pm me and I'll give you my email address, but I don't know that much about vbulletin.
I imagine they check or set a cookie for the user's locale time/date preferences on the pages and parse the date accordingly.

So it must be possible.

I didn't say it wasn't possible, just that I can't get it to work. Can you check the other vB site you visit and see which version they're using? If they're using 4.2 I'll contact them and ask them how they did it.

If this is a complex thing to implement, I don't mind getting used to the status quo! It's just a date ordering I don't see much of.

I noticed - thank you. It really does save those of us outside the US from having to do a little mental conversion each time we look at a post's datestamp.
