Anyone who has seen his/her share of Onyx Patricians can attest to the unsightly discoloration that most have accrued over the years. By way of contrast to the set I'm selling, here is a more typical example:

While the color of the set for sale isn’t perfect – the barrel being ever so slightly warmer in hue than is the cap – it’s pretty durn close and definitely better than most by a long chalk. This set has been fully restored with a genuine silicone sac installed to preserve its exceptional color. The pencil is also fully functional with the original eraser intact. Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, personalizations, and no nib or threading issues. Sizeable 14k Patrician nib, which retains a healthy dose of iridium, lays down a smooth and consistent F line. Gold-filled trim is very clean, exhibiting only negligible slivers of high-point wear on the chamfered edges of the clip and edges of the lever. Smooth, lustrous finish to the celluloid and brick hard rubber portions of the pen and pencil. Both writing instruments exhibit deep, fully legible imprints. Note that while the lever locks securely into the downward position, it doesn’t rest entirely flush against the barrel. I suspect an ossified sac remnant might be the culprit, but I haven’t been able to locate where it is to remove it. Note also that box is not original to the set. On the whole, an impressively well-preserved example of this iconic vintage flagship.
