FPG sends an email for birthdays

What a nice surprise. :) On my recent birthday I received an email wishing me a happy birthday from FPG. :) Thanks FPG. :)

Either I wasn't aware, or didn't notice before.

Does everyone else know that you get an automatic email from FPG on your birthday?

I don't remember adding my DoB when I signed up. I don't tend to add my real details anyway for privacy/security purposes. :spy:

Thank you Wuddus :) I don't add my year of birth for security purposes, and I have occasionally put "almost birthdays" on some sites when specifically asked.

I don't put real dates as it was reported some time ago that a mathematical formula exists that can calculate your Social security number if your birthdate and birth city/state is known. Whether it's true or not, I am not sure but I have noticed similarities in ss numbers that might support the idea. I'd rather err on the side of security. Obviously this only affects US citizens.

I'm with Wuddus, I try not to use any sensitve data and I wound up not adding any birthday info for this site.
KrazyIvan, that is an interesting theory and makes me feel better knowing how paranoid I have been over that stupid number my whole life!;)
I have heard that part of it does identify where you were born as well.
