I just got a nib from FredRydr, a "14k D.O.M. oblique vintage nib".
I like the nib a lot, but specifically, it's different from the only other oblique I have, which is from Italix, which led me to believe an oblique nib was not for me. I am glad I tried another.
The Italix nib I tried is sharply cut, indeed, more of an "oblique italic". It's extraordinarily picky. There's nothing wrong with it, I just don't like using it very much.
On the other hand, this Pelikan oblique simply accommodates my subtle rotation and doesn't beg to be held a different way. I hold it as usual and it does the work for me. I won't post a writing sample because it writes just like my other rigid vintage Pelikan nib.
Just thought it was interesting.
