Offered for your collecting pleasure is a hard-to-find Eboya Natsume Large in beautiful marbled Shin Kai (marbled blue black) finish. The pen has a 14K gold M/F nib ground to stub by the incomparable John Mottishaw. It measures approximately 5 3/8 inches long capped and just over 5 inches uncapped. It is fairly similar in size to a Pelikan M800.
Eboya pens are made by Nikko Ebonite Company, the only producer of ebonite in Japan and the supplier of ebonite to Nakaya as well as other pen companies. According to Classic Pens.nibs.com :
Eboya of Japan creates hand-crafted pens made exclusively from hand-turned ebonite hard rubber in a process which requires a minimum of six months. Each pen has a distinctive marble pattern - no two pens will ever be exactly alike.
Eboya pens have become difficult to find and very few can be found at dealers within the US (and most likely anywhere else outside of Japan). Look for yourself and see if you can find any in this large size and finish! This example has been lightly used and includes the converter as well as a cartridge and the original box and papers. I am selling it only because I purchased a different model Eboya in the same color finish and don’t need two.
$475 includes shipping within US
International shipment may be available at cost. Please inquire.
