Hi all,

Another fresh batch of pens from my workbench.

If you see one or more pens that you like, please E-mail me at:

michael@northwestpenworks.com

If you intend to make a purchase, please read "Rules, shipping,
etcetera" at the bottom of this post.

Pen #1. c. 1927 Waterman's No. 52 in red and black wood grain hard
rubber. The imprints on the barrel are very worn. Also there is a bit
of bubbling of the gold along the edge of the clip next to the rivets,
on one side. The cap band has a very thin line of brassing along the
top edge, where it is typically found. Under magnification I found one
tiny speck of brassing on one side of the clip ball. There is one spot
of brassing on the edge of the lever tab. The pen has a nice polish and is
quite attractive. The nib is a very smooth writing Flexible Fine that
borders on medium. I would NOT call it a wet noodle, as it takes a bit
of light pressure to achieve a broad line. I was going to replace the
ink sac, but it already had a fresh sac in it, when I checked it. I
took several photos of this one to show the wood grain pattern. Capped
the pen measures 5 5/16 inches or 13.6 cm.

Price $195.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

2. Pelikan M400 in blue stripe and black. I am not sure when this pen
was made, but it is a discontinued version. It appears that the pen
was used very little, but it does have some signs of use. This is a
twist piston fill, the whole inside of the barrel holds the ink, like
most Pelikans. I would classify the nib tip as a Fine, even though it
is marked "M" for medium. It has a yellow gold 14K / .585 nib and is a
smooth writer. Capped the pen measures 4 15/16 inches or 12.5 cm.

Price $150.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

3. c. 1945 Sheaffer's Triumph Crest set in golden brown stripe with
gold filled caps. The pen is a rod plunger fill. The white dot is on
the end of the blind cap. The filling system was restored by Gerry
Berg and fills well. The pencil is working well and has extra leads.
Both pen and pencil are engraved with the initials J.J.L. on the
bottom back edge of the caps. The pen barrel is imprinted 1500, i.e.
it originally sold for $15.00. Capped the pen measures 4 7/8 inches or
12.5 cm. The nib is a smooth writing Extra Fine two tone 14K Triumph.
The pen cap has no dents or brassing. The pencil cap has a couple
of typical flattened spots on top and also has about an 8 mm shallow
dent on the back side and two or three very small shallow bump marks.
Overall it is a nice looking set. The barrel clarity in the clear
stripes of the pen are much better than average, only very light
discoloration. Oh, I misspelled Crest in the writing sample. I have a
friend with the last name Chrest, and I guess my brain was on
auto-pilot when I was doing the writing sample...

Price $175.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
