I just bought three very expensive pens and I must do penance in order to pay for them. I have seven very nice pens for sale. Descriptions follow the two overview photographs and pens with special nibs include a photo of the nib.

I am not interested in trades. I am in need of cash to pay for my excessive purchases.

The price includes Paypal fees and insured Priority shipping in the CONUS. Returns only if the pen is not as described.

I will ship internationally ONLY if you are willing to pay for Paypal fees and all international shipping costs. No returns on pens shipped outside of the US. Shipping internationally takes extra time and effort on my part.

Payment via Paypal. Questions do not hold the pen, but you are welcome to ask.

Pen #1: Pelikan M101n Tortoise (modern reissue). This pen has long been unavailable. It is a beautiful green/brown tortoiseshell pen with a clean ink window. The nib is a wonderful broad cursive italic that was ground and tweaked by John Mottishaw. No box or papers. Price: $525.

Pen #2: Pelikan M400 White Tortoise. This is a beautiful white tortoise that I bought from Rick Propas. The original cap had a crack and has been replaced. The nib is an awesome factory OBB. No box or papers. Price: $425.

SOLD Pen #3: Conid Minimalistica Bulkfiller Demonstrator. This is the smaller version of the Conid Bulkfiller. It comes with the original box and the tool kit so you can take the pen completely apart. It has a fine titanium nib that is nice and springy. $375.

SOLD Pen #4: Omas Ogiva Turquoise with a fine Extra Flessibile nib. I bought this pen from nibs.com just after Omas went out of business. It was one of a small production of 50 pens. Caveat: I have sent this pen back to nibs.com twice because ink tends to leak into the grip area and cap. The first time I sent it in, they replaced the seal. The second time they said, “Ink getting in the cap and pooled in the gripping area is normal, just highly visible in a demonstrator . . .” Comes with box and papers. $725.

Pen #5: Omas Israel 50th Anniversary. This pen is a gorgeous silver overlay pen with the Star of David on the nib and cap finial. It is a piston filler. Unfortunately, it has several problems. First, there is a small ding in the cap (see photo). Second, the overlay is loose. It looks like the person I bought it from glued it together but it’s loose and can be completely removed from the pen. The piston knob works, but the silver part also comes off. No box or papers. **I’m sending this one to Shawn Newton for repair. I will probably sell it eventually. If you’re interested, let me know.

SOLD Pen #6: Visconti Manhattan (Original version not the more recent iteration). This is such a beautiful pen with green, stacked celluloid and gorgeous details. It has a fine nib. The pen fills via a vacuum filler, but it can be a little sticky (a bit of silicone grease on the metal rod helps). Purchased from Fountain Pen Hospital. No box or papers. $325.

SOLD Pen #7: Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age Maxi with 1.3 stub ground to an italic. I go back and forth about selling this pen, but I rarely use it. It’s the gorgeous large version made of lava. The original nib was the 1.3 stub, but it was too wide and skipped. I sent it to Dan Smith and he ground it to an italic. Even after that, I had some trouble with the nib. I sent it to John Mottishaw who did more tuning on it and it writes well now. Comes with original box. $475.

SOLD Pen #8: Montblanc Dumas (correct signature) with a broad italic nib. Limited edition number 13078. Another truly gorgeous pen with a pretty amazing fat nib. Unfortunately, the nib is too wide for me, and I wouldn’t feel right having someone grind it down to something smaller. Purchased from Peyton Pens. Comes with inner “book” box but no papers. $850.
