Well this year Caran d’Ache issued a new limited edition 849 ballpoint pen. It is made from the Nespresso recycled capsules for their espresso machines. It’s called the 2nd Chance program. They recycle everything! Even the coffee is recycled as compost. With them being Swiss made, they have gotten some other Swiss companies in on the program. CdA made it in time for the 3rd year. Another company is using the recycled aluminum for a vegetable peeler. Swiss Army Knives has been in it from the beginning using the recycled metal for their Alox scales for the knife. I only found out because of the CdA. Each year is a different color. Can’t wait for next years colors!

They should totally incentivse recycling by supplying these pens for free to high recyclers [emoji23][emoji748]️

But, but....then I wouldn’t get one! I mean, I don’t even like the taste of coffee much less than an espresso. but I am for recycling so I will support it in any way I can. :clap2:

We drink far too much and I didn't realise that they were recyclable until this post! Unfortunately they don't give you anything for recycling other than the satisfaction of knowing you didn't landfill [emoji23]

Here's the peeler — a Zena Rex: https://bestswiss.ch/shop/geschenkideen/frauen/sparschaeler-rex-edition-nespresso

Same model also comes in gold (plated?) and titanium versions: http://www.zena.swiss/en/products/limited-edition

I wish they made it easier to recycle the pods: they'll only give the bags to you if you buy something from their store.
