My dad gave me his old drawing pens! As a young man, besides working in a factory, he was also a draughtsman for an architect, to make some extra cash.

These pens are Pelikan Graphos, and the box and nibs are original. The box is a bit battered, and the nibs are a bit rusty. I am in the process of removing as much rust as I can, with a small wire brush.

Any tips on preserving these nibs (preventing further rusting) are welcome!

Cool piece of family history!

I have one of these, it's very cool and some of the nibs are very nice, especially the italic ones.

I'm glad that you took the time to take care of this family legacy.

Is the handle a dip pen, or does it hold an ink reservoir?

It's an eyedropper filler. https://www.pelikan-collectibles.com/en/Pelikan/Models/Drawing-pen/index.html

Graphos sets sometimes turn up in lots that I buy. I've played with them but I don't really have a use for them. They are beautiful instruments, though, admirably made.
