What's special about this particular pen is the "Conway Stewart 14 CT GOLD 5" factory stub nib. This pen features a gorgeous celluloid coupled with an expressive writing nib. Crisp embossing "Conway Stewart 27 MADE IN ENGLAND." No scratches, gouges, teethmarks or brassing. Fresh sac, too!

Robert, the stub nib is very smooth. I suppose I could've called it a BB+with no italic edges. It is not wet; it's just right in my mind, without me having to adjust it.
