I have 2 Waterman red ripple #7 pens with the Pink nib and band. The bands were pretty faded. I decided to try getting new color bands.
When the bands arrived they looked red, not pink at all. A dark red

I sent a message to the vendor and he said that the "pink" bands on pens was never pink but more salmon colored
Now, I have never actually seen a pink color band that looked pink. But what do I know? I was hoping for some variant of pink.

Does anyone have first hand knowledge about these remanufactured color bands. They are actually made of cassia, which was the original substance that they were made of.

Another vendor sells both the cassia bands and some plastic bands, which may have truer colors. But if the "pink" pens were never pink, do I really want bands that are not historically accurate?

It is true that the band on the ripple No. 7 was not as "pink" as the button on the black celluloid No 7. See: https://fpgeeks.com/forum/showthread.php/24969-Waterman-7-pink-nib

What a pity they're not right...I'd be happy to take one off your hands.
