New Slack community for greater Montreal

I'm trying to build up a nice pen lover community for the greater Montreal area on Slack. I hope to be able to help poeple meet new friends and be able to easily organize meeting without any central authority. I think I might have scared some people with my Slack group... It's the easiest, non intrusive, lowest commitment way I found to be able to allow people to exchange about various subjects in separate "rooms" with the possibility of private one on one or group exchange, without the need of a central autoriy.

If there is a better way to help the community to communicate, please let me know.
