Can this be repaired and if so who would you recommend ? The rest of the pen seems like it is in good condition and comes with the box and papers . Thanks for any advice .

Your best bet would be to find a replacement cap, but that's going to be difficult and expensive.

It might be possible to attempt to glue it with a two part epoxy adhesive, by getting it into the crack, holding it closed with a band clamp or two, so that it can go off. Then you could rub down any excess and repolish the cap. It can work reasonably well. I've done it with a cracked Kaweco cap.

I don't know of any repairer who might do this, but there must be some repairers in the US who could do it. For a price....

Good luck with it. :)

There is a Loctite 290 Threadlocker, which is reputed to be a sealant used by Montblanc and others, which claims to wick into threads. This Loctite 290 Threadlocker might wick into the crack and seal it. Heat is what is used to break its lock.

If you use this stuff, I would put a small amount on the inside of the cap and see if it works. I have a tube of it and it was under ten dollars.
