Spotted in ebay on a big honkin' diamond medal that I have been watching for a bit.
I know they did a lot of insignia and cartouche work. I am wondering if this belongs to a group or if it was just a W?

Your thoughts?

Stylised Masonic symbol.

No, I am a freemason and that is not one I am familiar with having seen.

It looks like a stylised version of the Masonic compass and set square symbol. Well, it does to me, and it wouldn't surprise me if it was in someway connected to an order with similar agenda to the Masons.

...Your thoughts?
Here is another Diamond Medal pen with the same insignia, on eBay. The seller writes, "I believe this is a good luck logo," not that his belief means much. I suspect there's a better explanation than that.

And here are more symbols on Diamond Medal Pens. Based on these, perhaps they're just ornament and nothing more.

Hey, that's Luis in that photo! You'll bump into him at the bigger pen shows. He flies over the pond regularly for fountain pens.

I´m afraid he is not a fan of forums.
