1910s Conklin Crescent-Filler #50 (BCHR, GPT, Crescent filler, 14k Superflex nib). Comparable in proportions to a Waterman’s 56 (if slightly longer), this oversized model has a thicker girth than the more common 20/2NL and measures 5 5/8" capped. Impressively large Super-Flexible 14k Conklin Toledo 5 nib lays down a smooth and consistent XF line that widens to a BBB+ under light pressure (see writing sample above).
Condition: Restored in the past month with new sac. Guaranteed to fill without leaks and write as designed. No chips, cracks, personal engravings, bent or misaligned tines, missing or mismatched parts, or threading issues. No brassing whatsoever to the trim. Dark black hue with just a hint of fading discernible under some lighting conditions. Strong, even chasing with minimal wear. Some weakening to parts of the the imprints but they're still fully legible (see detail photos). A well-preserved piece of history and a lovely, expressive writer for those who prefer oversized vintage pens with thicker sections.
