Lunchtime ink reviews! I'm taking one ink to work each day and doing one of these during my lunch. (This was from Friday).

Diamine Grey, dip test with TWSBI Eco 1.1mm stub, on Rhodia dotpad.

Quite a true grey, to my eye. I got more variation of shades in the sketch than I expected. I definitely prefer it with a larger nib - in a fine it is a bit too light and pencil-like for me.

Looks a bit lighter than the GvFC Stone Grey that I use.

Nice! Thanks for the review. I shall have to get a sample.

You nailed it when mentioning too pencil like in fine (or in my case M) nibs. I need to give it another chance in at a pen with 1.1mm nib, maybe wider. I bought the big bottle of it.

This was a nice grey ink until Diamine released Earl Grey. That one really nails grey inks. :)

It's a great time for grey inks. This one was my favourite until Silver Fox was launched. Earl Grey and Graphite are nice, too, but a bit too dark for my taste. But to my surprise, I've recently found a grey that appeals to me but is not produced by Diamine: Lamy Agate. In my experience, it's the lightest grey, hence my new favourite.
