I have tried everything to get my Parola to write smoothly but it is a poorly behaved, scratchy pen not worthy of its price tag. Anyone else struggled with this model?

Yes, I've heard some other members complain about them as well. If you live in the U.S, a nibmeister like Mike Masuyama, Ron Zorn, etc...etc. might be able to help. I'm assuming you've tried micromesh. If not, then that might be the solution.

I have tried micromesh and have inspected the alignment of the tines. I think it is just a scratchy nib. thanks for asking.

Does it scratch more in one direction?

How have you inspected the tines?

Is the scratch directional?

Why did you use micromesh?

To the left.

Okay. That says that the right tine is lower then the left tine.

Do you have a good lighted loupe?

Given the issues with this pen, I just ordered a loupe which should arrive early next week.
