Lunchtime ink reviews! I'm taking one ink to work each day and doing one of these during my lunch.

Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu-syogun, dip test with TWSBI Eco 1.1mm stub, on Rhodia dotpad.

A blue-tinged grey. This was an interesting contrast with the Montblanc Irish Green I'd used the day before in terms of ink properties - that one is lubricated but not wet as such, this one is very wet and watery. To get the darkest shades I had to wait for the initial colour to dry first, because if I put more ink on top before that it would just diffuse out through the whole area.

That was the last page in this dotpad! It isn't all sketch reviews, but about 2/3rds of it is.

I like gray inks. I think I see shading in the writing you did. Is it a good shading ink?

Yes, it has some shading - like most greys I'd put it in a broader or wetter pen, because it's going to be really faint in a fine. I haven't used it at length!
