Hi, I just wrote something about Maruzen's new Athena pen, available from today, and thought it might be of interest to people here:

Maruzen's annual pen fair opened today. A few dozen people were waiting in line in the morning. Most of them ran straight to the ink shelf to pick up this year's exclusive "1870" ink, as well as the other 9 Athena inks only sold once a year.

I also noticed that Maruzen had Athena Chroma for sale, at 30 000 yen. Haven't seen that one in a while!

Thank you. What an elegant pen that is, both classic and modern.

The "Voyage" King of Pen in Micarta looks interesting. I like the new Athena also. I see a reseller already has them posted on the auction site!

Thanks for reading!

Yes, the Voyage looked nice too. There were a few more exclusive pens available: A Nakaya with the Nihombashi bridge painted on the barrel, using tsukekaki-tamesukashi technique, an Ohashido, an Eboya, and Onoto pens:

These weren't technically anniversary pens. Still very nice!

There's a pre-sale going on on Ebay already:

I wonder $598,00 quite expensive, even though the pen sure looks very nice.

I very much like this classic/modern combination of styling.
