This Sailor Pro Gear features a lovely matte black finish that has a great smooth feel in the hand. The cartridge converter filled pen has a 21K gold H-MF nib and measures just over 5 inches long.

This lightly used pen is complete with converter, two cartridges, boxes and papers.

US List Price was apparently $590 and you may find the pen on some dealer sites at $472, but you can do much better here.

$300 plus $15 shipping within US

Shipment outside US may be available at cost. Please inquire.

I don't think this is the Imperial Black which has rhodium plating on the nib and accents. This the Matte Black version I believe. Not trying to discredit or devalue your sale, just wanted to help everyone out.

Thank you. I find the difference a bit confusing, although from what I can find, pricing seems to be equivalent. The clip looks like the design of the older Imperial rather than the newer Pro Gear II Matte Black.

Whatever the correct name, I hope the pictures adequately tell the story.

Yeah. This isn’t the Imperial Black, which has all black trim and a black job. Not sure what this is. It’s sort of like a matte black Pro Gear II but the clip is different.

Black nib, not “job”

I have found that this pen is the Pro Gear Matte Black. It is neither the Imperial Black nor is it the Pro Gear II Matte Black. It is the original Pro Gear Matte Black that precedes the currrent Pro Gear II. It has been discontinued for a few years and has become much tougher to find.

Could you please post any web link or reference to the exact model of this pen?
It will be helpful given the differences in the original post and the follow-on discussions.
