Hi all

I have in the post on it's way to be a Montblanc Meisterstück Gold-Coated LeGrand Ballpoint Pen bought at a too good to be true price

These are often difficult to verify as genuine with the modern counterfeiters being so good, but one of the few ways to tell is in the weight of the pen as the counterfeit pens are often too light.

So anyone with a genuine Le Grand Ballpoint, could you let me know what it weighs, both complete and without it's refill.

Thanks for taking the time to do this.

Paul

Counterfeits of the Le Grand BP are significantly less common than counterfeits of the normal size BP, and when they appear you can tell because it is so different to the authentic article.

One thing I noticed about mine before I sold it was that the refill always rattled inside despite both pen and refill being authentic. :(

Ok so the pen has arrived and does on first inspection appear to be a genuine Montblanc, much larger than the Classique with a good feel.

Weight of the complete pen is 29.84gm, weight with the refill removed is 25.43gm

Serial number is PX1007264

Anyone got one they could weigh so I have something to compare it to

Thanks

Paul
