I may get a new bottle of Pelikan 4001 dark-green, I like the color. If there is any advantage to another green ink I may try it. I have yet to find a dark red or burgundy, I have not yet decided. Any one that's particularly happy with an ink in green and dark red? I have and Onyx Edelstein ink, the most noticeable difference for me has been the nice bottle ; )

GvFC Moss Green is a nice dark green and is a well behaved ink.

Diamine Burgundy Royale is a pretty nice burgundy, in my opinion.

As for greens, I’m a big fan of:

Iroshizuku Syo-ro
Platinum Green Black
Edelstein Olivine
And probably my favorite (for now), Noodler’s Air Corp Blue Black.

As for dark reds, I pretty much stick to GvFC Garnet Red.

I haven't used it a whole lot but kind of like J. H. Rouge Grenat. Nice shading.

I also really liked Diamine Oxblood but only tried a sample so far.

Another one that I enjoyed was 5280 Vineyard Burgundy Red, available on eBay. It was Mystery Ink #24 and the other folks who tried it seemed to like it.

Green? No idea. :)

I’m also a moss green fan.

I don’t know many dark reds but Diamine makes a few that I like.

It depends on whether you like your green inks leaning blue or yellow. For a nice green ink that leans yellow Diamine Classic Green is quite new and is popular. For a bluer green Diamine Sherwood Green is hard to beat.

I love burgundy red inks, and Diamine makes quite a few. Of those that are easier to obtain Diamine Burgundy Rose is a Montblanc Hitchcock Red clone, and Diamine Burgundy Royale is another excellent burgundy.

I also liked Vineyard Burgundy red (MI#24) and J.Herbin Rouge Grenat. Many users also like Diamine Oxblood and Red Dragon.

How about the UK company Cult Pens Deep Dark Green & Deep Dark Red? Both made by Diamine and I've used them at Christmas in the past, when cards & envelopes would still accept fp ink!!!!

Rouge Garnet is a great shade of red.

Chalk up another vote for Vineyard Burgundy. Previously from Paradise Pen, now "5280" Vineyard Burgundy. Great ink, very affordable.

Are you looking for any green, or dark green? I really enjoy Sailor Tokiwa-Matsu as a green. The immense sheen I get from that ink sometimes makes it look brown / gold. Can be a darker green or a green-brown depending on the paper, pen, and lighting. Can't recommend any true dark greens. The ones I have were gifts from Japan and nearly impossible to get.

I've used Diamine Green-Black (or maybe it's Black-Green) with pretty good results.

I like Monteverde Jade Noir for an almost-black that still looks green. I’ve had less luck with dark reds, which often just look brown on the page.

Montblanc Irish Green is quite a lush green, vibrant, but dark enough for formal correspondence.

Sailor Shikiori Okuyama is a nice somewhat subdued, clean dark red.

My green is Noodler’s Zhivago, more brooding than lively.
Noodler’s American Aristocracy has a deep, dusty look.
Both can be deniably black in an EF, and are rich in a Broad.

Another dark red to add: Birmingham Pen, Duquesne Incline Station Red, a brick red, exhibiting subtle shading, that writes very smoothly and behaves fairly well. I have been enjoying it in a slightly dry-writing red Esterbrook LJ.

Currently Unobtainium I think.

Add a back in stock request to the manufacturing queue. (http://www.birminghampens.com/collections/ink-manufacturing-queue) Without this red they don't have any red inks in their range, so I would bet that they will make more. :)

Diamine Red Dragon is my goto red ink. Green varies for me, I like Diamine Salamander and Stipula Musk Green.

It is. :) I am not sure why I am drawn to olive and greens that lean brown or yellow. Private Reserve Evony Green and Private Reserve Avocado are a couple of green inks that also make their rounds in my pens.
