For your consideration is this Esterbrook SJ in blue with a sac I installed a few months ago, and a smooth-writing 1551 nib that is in like-new condition. Both jewels are intact and in good condition.

The barrel has been conservatively polished to remove the worst of the haze from microscratches, improving the depth of the celluloid pattern and providing a gloss finish. Some scratches remain from its use over the decades but overall it has a quite attractive appearance.

The imprint is visible but not particularly deep. I avoided polishing this area.

The nib behaves well and writes smoothly with good flow using somewhat wetter inks like Quink Black or Iroshizuku Tsuki-yo. The nib width falls between fine *556 and medium *668.

Price is $35 + shipping cost via USPS First Class or Priority (your choice).
