This listing is for an absolutely gorgeous and unique Nakaya fountain pen: the Portable Cigar Spiketails. What makes the Nakaya Spiketails so unique is that it is a hand-painted acrylic fountain pen. Unlike most Nakaya pens which are completely opaque, the Dragonfly is partially transparent with raised painted designs covered in semi-transparent red (Shu) Urushi lacquer. The designs are spectacular, to say the least.
The nib was a BB that has been ground to a medium italic. It's definitely a cursive italic and has a sweet spot, so if you don't like that, you can send the nib to a nibmeister to have it smoothed into a stub.
Asking $1050 Priority Mail with insurance included CONUS only. I will not ship such an expensive pen overseas. Sorry. I am not interested in trades at this time, and the price is firm. Payments through Paypal.
