Pelikan M600 questions

Hi, I've become a Lamy addict and I have occasion to treat myself to something higher end. Just based on online searches, I'm keen to try Pelikan. The Pelikan M600 (special edition - purple) has my eye but I can't quite tell if the stripes on the pen have texture. Does anyone know? Is it purely design or can you actually feel the stripes?

No texture, sorry. I have a bunch of the 600s & all smooth bodies. Good luck in your decision making.

I have to say the Pelikan feeds make it more wet than others. The medium nib can be viewed as broad in other brands.

While the stripes have no embossed texture, I thoroughly enjoy the feel of the cellulose acetate of Pelikan striped barrels more than acrylic.
