SOLD: Edacato 101. Gorgeous mottled red and black hard rubber French fountain pen, with silver deco accoutrement and a gold 18-karat flex nib. I purchased this lovely pen from Mark Hoover and he restored it for me. Mark is probably the most knowledgable expert on antique and vintage French fountain pens in North America. I just had to acquire this pen because of those patterns in the hard rubber, that deco clip and the 18 karat flexible nib. (Don't worry; it's not a wet noodle you might overstress.) Posted: 6" tip to cap. The barrel and cap ends are perfect. Edges are crisp. "101" is on the end of the barrel. There are no scratches, dings or toothmarks. The only issue I can see is the lever and a smidgen of one band are brassed (see photos).

Similar to Eversharp, Edacato was originally known for pencils, and after a period of time working with Aurora the company succeeded in producing high-end, handsome pens of fantastic quality through the '30s, as you can see.

I filled it with Herbin Café des Îles before I took the photos, and I wrote a few postcards to ensure it's writing just as it should. It's been flushed, dried and hand polished.

$275$245 includes Priority tracked shipping anywhere served by the USPS, more elsewhere. First PM that reads "I'll take the Edacato" with email address and shipping address holds it pending prompt payment of Square invoice emailed to you. Questions are welcome, but do not hold the pen.

A really stunning pen, Fred. I own the same model in blue shell celluloid and it's one of my favorite French pens.
