In my opinion, you're dropping the price way too fast. This pen sells frequently for ~$700-$800. You're selling it during vacations. You should be more patient and also try selling at multiple sites (reddit pen swap, fpn, for example). When I was selling my M800 brown tortoise, which is a ~$1000 pen, it sold in 3 months or so, but it did sell for the list price I wanted. Expensive pens don't sell immediately, usually.

Just my 2 cents. Whoever takes this pen at $550 is getting a deal.

Otherwise this is a beautiful pen with a very interesting nib. Good luck with the sale!

I agree with adhoc. More expensive pens typically take a little longer to sell, so unless you have an immediate need for funds, I would destroy all evidence of your price drops and keep the original price.

I agree with the two above posters. Their advice is wise. It's a beautiful fountain pen and becoming rarer & rarer. However, I disagree with erasing evidence of a lowered price & reverting to the original price. Once advertised, I believe the seller should stick to it, unless lowering the price. Just my personal view. Good luck with your sale.

I'm not looking to make a profit, and I don't make a living by selling pens. Honestly, my time is more valuable than keeping track of a sales post, so I prefer to move items quickly. Also, if the next user gets a great deal on a fabulous pen, I think they'll appreciate it more. Just my 2 cents.

This pen won't go lower than $550. I break even at this price.

Also, it's my opinion that Pelikan and MontBlanc pens are overvalued, especially the brown tortoise Pelikan m800.
