So I noticed my last Nakaya has a different feed on it. The pic below shows what I mean. The one on the right is the newest one and the one on the left is what my other 3 all have. They are all newer pens so I thought they would all be the same.
The only difference in the pens is that the one with the different feed is a double broad while the others are all soft/mediums.

Sooo... whats everyone else see on there?

Seven have the old feed, and one (the Naka-ai) has the new -- and I know only because at the SF Pen Show last year, I asked John M. to swap out the Naka-ai's nib with a nib from one of my other Nakayas, and he started to before realizing that the old one wouldn't fit on the new one.

A while ago, Nakaya changed the feed and nib design to match the ones introduced with the newer Platinum 3776 pens. The new feed and nibs are not backwards compatible with the old. The new feeds do fit as tight in the section as the older pens. I got this info last fall when Lisa wanted a nib swap nibs between two of her Nakayas but John M. said it could not be done because they had different feed designs.

Thanks !!!

Ok whats odd is that the last Nakaya I got has the old feed ? .. the Aka-tamenuri, and I know he just got them in about 3 weeks ago.

The nib and feed are in there tight. Where the other 3 can be moved if I wanted to.

Heres the line up... again the newest pen is on the right yet has the old feed... correct?

FYI ... I am just asking to ask. The feed works great and pumps the BB stub well with no issues keeping up.

I have two Nakayas - a decapod writer with soft medium nib and a mini-decapod writer with BB nib. Both were purchased from nibs.com last year, the feed on each appears identical to the feed of the pen pictured on the right in your original post. BTW - - thanks for your informative video on Nakaya elastic vs. stub vs. stock soft medium.
