Woot! Pen Show!!

In just a week the San Francisco International Pen Show (https://www.sfpenshow.com/) is going to rock. So many great activities going down in addition to all the pens, inks and assorted stuffs. I've been a bit bowled over by the number of 'show exclusives' coming into town: Bungubox has a LE Sailor Pro Gear pen in SF colors, a couple of different vendors have signature inks (including a Joey Feldman / Vanness collab) and there are others, I know, that I am forgetting about. I'll try to have my head on and do a proper report after the show, possibly a post or two during the run. Just depends on how busy it gets.

They like to call SF "The Fun Pen Show". I think this commemorative shirt being made by Rickshaw Bagworks (https://www.rickshawbags.com/accessories) kinda nails that vibe!

Alas, life has managed to get in the way. Next year, though! Next year will be the year!

I too tried to make it work for this year. Pet sitting and finances (not in that order) made it impossible. Not that I'm a poor baby - my finances need careful tending because I ordered a longed-for pen. So, next year in Redwood City! And hoping for pictures and narratives from the attendees.

In the interests of having a happy wife it looks as though the US is permanently off-limits. Have fun at the show. If you see a fat woodgrain pen for a decent price... get the sellers contact details! (just kidding).

I wish I could be in the city of Peace and Love for the San Francisco pen show, and to meet your ugly mug handsome visage. I'll just have to settle for FPGeeks in the interim...until the Columbus Ohio Pen Show!

It is going to take me a day or so to get it together to write up a report on the show. I took *some* photos but will sprinkle in enough others to give a good look. In a nutshell, this show was off the charts - bigger, better and more fun than any they've put on in the past! The current showrunners have been doing this show for 4 years now and every year has seen growth and improvements. A complete blast!

However, this just popped up so I'll share it to give a taste: Miroslav Tischler, of Penkala Pens, did his usual video stroll through the show. It looks like Saturday, which had crazy-big crowds. Anyway, here's about 10 minutes of being at the 2019 San Francisco International Pen Show...
