4. 1997 Namiki Vanishing Point in burgundy with stainless steel trim,
in the original box. The pen comes with one unused cartridge,
cartridge cover and currently has the squeeze fill converter in it, so
that it can be filled from an ink bottle. The only damaged I noticed
are a couple of very tiny scratches on the cap opposite side of the
clip, in one facet. Also there is a bit of an indentation in the
plastic, under one edge of the tip of the clip, which is not very
noticeable. The pen appears that it was not used very much at all. The
nib is a fine by Japanese standards, which I would classify as an
Extra Fine by American standards. The box for the pen has two or three
little scuff marks on the top. This is the faceted version of the
Vanishing Point which was retired in 1999, IIRC. My writing sample
started out on the black side and progressively got bluer as I did the
writing sample, because I forgot to flush it! Overall it is a very
nice example. These retired faceted pens are more slender, lighter and
easier to write with than the VP's currently offered by Namiki, in my
opinion. To me they feel something more like a Parker 51. The nib
advances and retracts with the click of the button on the end. I seem
to have found a few of them the last few months, but they seem kind of
hard to find, in general.

Price 195.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

5. 1937 Parker Vacumatic Junior in black. This is not your average
1930's Vac! It has a reticulated barrel, which some might call a web
pattern. These reticulated Vacumatics are fairly scarce animals. I
think I have only seen one other example in person, in all the years
I have been collecting. There is some brassing on the lower cap
band, a little on the tip of the clip and some very thin lines of
brassing on the high edges of the tassi ring, on the blind cap.
The white plating on the nib has some wear, also. The barrel clarity
is excellent. If you look at the close-up of the barrel, you can see
one of the stamps through the barrel, on the printed background
paper. I wish I knew what brand and color of ink that was used in
this pen. I suspect it was Parker Quink. The lock down plunger is in
nice condition. The diaphragm has been replaced, but I was very
hesitant to ink this pen, because of the near perfect barrel clarity,
so I did not do a writing sample with it. The nib appears to be a Fine.

Price reduced to $295.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S.

6. c. 1928 Parker Duofold Junior fountain pen in "Lacquer-red"
Permanite plastic. The gold filled clip and bands have zero brassing.
The only damage is light marks on the vertical edge of the cap end,
and the milling on the cap end is worn. It could be upgraded with a
better cap end. The barrel imprint is crisp and sharp. The nib is a
smooth writing Extra Fine (bordering on Fine) 14K. In the shot of the
pen with the cap off, I also took the end cap off, so the fill button
could be seen. The brass fill button was so clean I did not bother to
polish it, which I do not see often. This is a very nice example of a
late Junior flattop.

Price reduced to $225.00 shipping included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
