If anyone in the NYC area would like to trade their vintage MB with me, here's the one I own.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-1950-Montblanc254-Black-Celluloid-14Ct-M-Piston-Ink-Vue-West-Germany-/300913107284?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=2xOZOFrUh%252Bn87Xa4XAF4c%252B3197U%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

I'm the one who won the auction. The pen's flow is good, no skipping, but a little dry for my tastes. In some ways it's better. For example, using MB Midnight Blue, the BB color actually shows up as a Bluish Black. Or Blackish Blue. Whereas on my wetter pens, it shows up black. Not pitch black, but you probably can't see the blueness at all unless i pointed it out and had you examine carefully.

If there's any interest, I'll post a photo comparing the results of using Midnight Blue in this 254 with my Feathertouch Sheaffer.

I will not ship this pen. Any trades must be done in person.
