If anyone in the NYC area would like to trade their vintage MB with me, here's the one I own.

I'm the one who won the auction. The pen's flow is good, no skipping, but a little dry for my tastes. In some ways it's better. For example, using MB Midnight Blue, the BB color actually shows up as a Bluish Black. Or Blackish Blue. Whereas on my wetter pens, it shows up black. Not pitch black, but you probably can't see the blueness at all unless i pointed it out and had you examine carefully.
If there's any interest, I'll post a photo comparing the results of using Midnight Blue in this 254 with my Feathertouch Sheaffer.
