The Visconti Ponte Vecchio was a series of three pens issued in 1995 to celebrate the 650th anniversary of the world famous bridge in Florence, Italy. This piece is in "Adriatic Stone" celluloid, which my be the least frequently seen material of the three.
The pen is produced in a gorgeous multi colored celluloid and features a cap band and the clip engraved to honor Benvenuto Cellini, the most revered Florentine goldsmith whose statue stands at the center of the bridge. The 14K gold nib is a Broad, and writes very smoothly and nice and wet, as shown in the writing sample posted with the photos below. Filling system is cartridge converter and the pen measures about 133 mm long capped and 125 mm long uncapped.
The pen is complete with box and parchment scroll.
