Lunch time mett up - London Pen Show 9th March.

Does anyone fancy meeting up for a pint/beverage of your choice on the 9th? I believe there is a pub opposite and/or a bar at the hotel.


Does anyone have any thoughts? I was thinking maybe lunchtime - 12.30-1.30 - folk can show off their swag and/or discuss what they 'd like to buy or not buy.

There is a seller who usually has a table at the end of the corridor as you go in and before you turn right into the hall. The seller has a habit of having a 'show special', year before last it was a new conklin disk filler reduced from £140 to £10, boxed and new but only in orange. He usually keeps these specials under the counter and you have to ask for them. Year before that it was Leuchturm notebooks reduced from £15 to £2 and the year before that was a lidded 12 pen display case for £1.

If anyone fancies lunch with some fountain pen fans, then please feel free to come to Pizzeria Sophia, 50 Tavistock Place, WC1H 9RG. It is literallty around the corner. I'll be there from 12.30-1.30ish. Got to eat after all. Do Pizzas come in Oversize?

If anyone wants a beer afterwards then the Marquis Cornwallis, perhaps? From 4pm onwards.

There's usually a group meeting in the cafe area inside the hotel just next to the show too - I'll probably be there for a bit around lunchtime-ish. (Not buying any food, so the pizzeria would be awkward!)
