Can anyone shed light on this Mont Blanc Pen

I'm not familiar with vintage Montblanc but this looks like it might be a 1930's safety filler. Someone else will come along who knows exactly what model it is.

As Chrissy has suggested a late 20s possibly early 30s Montblanc Safety with a gold overlay which looks to be German in style, a very desirable pen and similar examples have sold for over 2000 euros.

Personally I wouldnt touch it unless you know that it has been restored, I would send it to an expert such as Francis Goosens. You need to consider whether you want the pen to be in new condition or to keep its patina, opinions vary considerably on the right thing to do
