Howdy fellow fountain pen geeks!
My love affair with fountain pens started as a kid when we got a fountain pen in class to learn how to write longhand. At that age I wanted to become a writer, and a fountain pen totally fed my imagination. A few years later my parents gave me a 'fancy' fountain pen, a Parker Vector with a purple body and green cap. At first I used the blue cartridges that came with it, but soon I started using different colors too. Then I got another Parker Vector, this one white with African themed illustrations. And while I was visiting Bruges with my family, another purple fountain pen, brand unknown. (I haven't lived in my homecountry for the past 15 years or so, and recently when my parents came to visit me, they brought my old fountain pens, which I hadn't used since I was a teenager. Does it sound weird when I say they felt like old friends?)
About 10 years ago, I got a copper colored Waterman Carene for Christmas. Oh my, love at first sight! Earlier this year I bought a glossy red Carene (this one with an F nib) and I fell even more in love! Now all I need is another Carene in royal violet and my collection is complete :)
I'm not much of an expert on anything fountain pen or ink related (yet), but looking forward to being a part of this community :)
