BTW, the 2048 is the fine flexible nib (not extra-fine) and has no tipping. It is a a rolled tip nib (no iridium).

Not quite correct. The 2048 is an extra fine flexible nib:

Not that it matters either way, as you can see in the writing sample is writes like a fine italic!! Lol 🤷🏼 and a very crisp one at that

I have been using the chart with this link for years. BTW, the 9128 is the iridium tipped EF Flex and the 2128 is listed as the EF Flex with no tipping. Given the writing sample ( quite nice IMHO) I wonder if the nib is a bit worn so that it writes as a fine italic ( "a crisp one at that"??

Either way it is a nice pen.

I bought one at the Commonwealth Pen Show last year but was to frugal to spend $40.00 for the adapter when I already have a bunch of Esties with the 9000 series flex nibs.
