When things open up: Vroman's Book Store, 695 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91101. Not discount prices, but a wide variety of pens, ink, and paper to try.

I'd recommend Flax Pen to Paper (1078 Gayley Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90024 ) who have a wide range of modern pens , again maybe not discount prices but friendly knowledgeable staff
