i think it's more of a tear drop: round with a point on one side.

Same. I quite like the overall design, wish they borrowed the section from another model.

Agree with you all.

Here's an idea for Lamy, use a good quality ebonite for the section.
It makes excellent contrast with the minimalistic metal design, and it will feel fabulous in the hand.

Grip section looks closer to that of the Scala, which is no where near as slippery as the Studio despite being shiny metal due to the section being far less tapered - means you naturally put less pressure on it (will not work for everyone).
