I bought this pen when it came out last year, as my first Pelikan 1000 series. I felt like the Stressemann design would be a great way to dive into the top-tier birds. But after a few months, I've realized it just doesn't excite me, and it's a lot of money to have tied up into something.
The pen has been inked twice. It has been kept in a Pelikan leather sleeve from the day I got it. The body is immaculate; I don't even see the cap rotation microscratches. The nib is a typical Pelikan fine, deliciously wet and a little broader than its size indicates. The nib is HUGE, bouncy, and has written well out of the box with no adjustments.
