New to the forum, but not new to the pens! I grew up using pen and brushes to learning calligraphy. Because of convenience, I turned to rollerballs for schooling and so on. As now I got plenty time at home, time to pick up the old hobby.

Previously I owned a Parker 51/Pilot/Lamy. I currently have a 146 and are getting used to it right now. It is very beautiful and classic pen. But I am thinking maybe a 149 suits me better, just that I got big hands. So if you are thinking of trading/selling a 149 with a medium or flex nib, be sure to let me know! Also I would love to learn and meet new friends from the forum. It is always pleasant.

Greetings. Good choice of pens!

I haven’t lived in Chicago for a long time, but i was born in Bridgeport & my first house was in Back of the Yards. Last time i lived there it was in Pilsen. Go Sox!

Thank you! I live in Hyde Park which is not far from Back of the Yards. I have always wanted to visit Brooklyn as I heard it is quite fashion.

Nice neighborhood. I lived there a long time ago during my college years. I hope you enjoy this site.

Maroon proud! I just graduated from grad school.

It is even better now with a new Trader Joe's on 55th.

Welcome to the board.

Before going on active duty with the Navy in 1989, I lived in Beverly for five years.

Had a Cross fountain pen that needed some work, which Sam Himoto of Universal Pen Hospital, God rest him, did while I waited.

Hello to Chicago.
(Everytime I think of Chicago I'm reminded of a conversation between 'Jed' Bartlett and Leo McGarry about Men of Chicago; don't know why, it never really happened)
