Hey, friends, I figured it was time to finally register and participate!:wave:

I have been collecting pens for almost a year now, and I have been all over the map. These days, though, my focus has become collecting pens in the Parker 51 family (51, 51 Special, and 21). I have two more on the way, a cocoa Aero 51 and a green 21.

However, I also have my first two older Shaeffers on order, as well. (Wait, I have had some Shaeffer school pens, and those were great.) I have a Targa and a Snorkel w/ matching Pencil on the way from Peyton Street. They're such gorgeous pens; I have no doubt that classic Shaeffers will also join my collection drive.

Welcome! You'll find lots of like minded people here. And different interests too.

I don't really collect, though I have a dozen or so - mostly vintage. I've got some Shaeffer school pens - for years they were my favorite. I just discovered I have a Targa 1001 but I haven't tried it. I don't like the look of it, but it feels good and I'm told they write well.

Hehe - the problem with Pendemonium is that they have TOO many things I want, every time I visit.

Thanks! Re Shaeffer school pen: They really are great little pens. Kind of the Preppy of their day.

Except that I would be shocked if the plastic in a Preppy will last 50 or 60 years. :noidea:

D'oh! You're right. LOL

I have had in my mind for awhile that it was supposed to be "aeffer", intentionally confusing. So I have trained myself to write it that way.
