Parker Duofold repair experts?

Hi everyone, so its been awhile since I’ve posted about any new pens but recently I’ve gotten a great opportunity to get what I’m assuming is a good deal on a Parker Duofold junior? The pen has its cap rings missing however and I was wondering if anyone knew any experts I could send it to repair and what would be the cost? Thanks :)

The reason it sounds like a great opportunity must be precisely because it's cap bands are missing and it's not a cheap repair - assuming you can find someone who might be able to do it.

Even if you can get it repaired you will probably find it won't be such a bargain price in the end.

I don't know if Ron Zorn at Main Street Pens does this work or not, but you could try asking him.

If it's an early button-filler, the repair to that is not a big issue and many can do that. The cap bands? Honestly, I don't know that people do the repair, it would be more in the realm of sourcing a replacement cap. In this case, writing to a few of the known repair folks to see what they might have sitting in their bins may help you make a choice. For vintage like this, I'd certainly consider Ron Z as mentioned, also Joel Hamilton (inkpen vintage pens), it is *possible* Danny Fudge might have the parts. You could also write to Five Star Pens to check on caps (I can remember if their site shows individual parts like that). Good luck!

I think it depends on what Duofold. In many cases it might be more cost effective to replace the cap shell instead of sourcing clean bands and putting them in place.
